2024 SUMMER WORKSHOP - July 22nd - 24th

The Denver Gay Men’s Chorus (DGMC) is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and socially engaged Choral conductor to serve as Artistic Director of this 150-member chorus. The successful applicant will lead a team of staff and volunteers in planning and executing three concerts per year relative to the choruses’ mission to “Build Community through Music.” DGMC has been an LGBTQ+ catalyst for change through musical excellence through over 300 concerts since its founding in 1982. This vibrant ensemble strives to entertain, educate, inspire audiences through musical excellence and community.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop, coordinate, and direct Chorus programming as well as long term strategic vision. The Artistic Director builds audiences and fosters artistic and community relationships that support the DGMC’s mission and elevates the organization’s visibility in the Rocky Mountain region. This position is not only an Artistic leader but also a community leader for the chorus and the greater Denver area. We encourage candidates to be intellectually curious and eager to engage in dialogue with stakeholders, partners, audiences, scholars, and visitors. Additional responsibilities include project management and budgeting.

DGMC is a member of Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses (GALA). DGMC is a member chorus of the Rocky Mountain Arts Association, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

Please note, we are offering either a full-time position or a part-time (.5 FTE) position, relative to needs of individual candidates.
