Chanticleer, called “simply one of the world’s best ensembles” ( by the San Francisco Chronicle) will perform its only concert in Colorado on October 9th, 2022 at 3:00 pm in First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs. Chanticleer, called “an orchestra of voices”, has earned lavish praise from world-wide audiences for their tonal beauty and clarity of sound. This 3-time Grammy award winning ensemble will present a program entitled “Labyrinths”, guiding the audience through an intriguing diversity of musical adventures from the Renaissance to our own age. Music of Josquin des Prez, Afro-American spirituals, jazzy arrangements of popular standards – and the usual “surprises” – that are part of any Chanticleer concert – will delight the audience.
