Father Dyer is a United Methodist community of faith that believes all are welcome and all are to be valued. Our connection to the community goes all the way back to 1860, and we are excited for what God is doing right now and what God has envisioned for the future. Currently Father Dyer is in a remodel and expansion construction for approximately the next two years.
Father Dyer seeks an Accompanist/Pianist to begin no later than Sunday, November 12, 2023. Responsibilities include:
- Play for the Sunday choir rehearsal before the service.
- Accompany the choir on their Sunday anthem, the congregation on hymns, and select and perform appropriate musical selections to enhance Sunday morning worship (Prelude, prayer time, offertory, postlude, etc.
- Be available for special services such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter, etc.
- Required hours: Sunday’s 8 – 10:15 a.m.
- Pay: $15,000 -$16,000
Father Dyer also seeks a Choir Director for the next two years. Responsibilities include:
- Lead Sunday choir rehearsal before the service.
- Direct the choir in the Sunday anthem and hymns.
- Select the Sunday anthems and special music for special services such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter, etc.
- Required hours: Sunday’s 8 – 10:00 a.m.
- Pay: $18,000 – $20,000
It is possible that both of these positions could be combined for a qualifying applicant.
